That would be my favorite SC2 song of all if it weren't for all the screaming

I think this track needs the overdriven guitar heard in the original track. It suits the Druuge, you know, all throwing the weak into the reactor -stuff.

I like the fast drums at 2:00

This is perfect for the Druuge. Those scream (or whatever they are) gives me the creeps :)

A powerful song well-suited for the Druuge. It conjured up images of the many conversations we've had with this race.

I agree with Censored's comment. The drum-rolls are too homogeneous. That it's just a sample being repeated is obvious. Have them roll a little more. A real drummer will have a little variation in the intensity from one to the next -- they alternate hands, after all.

Aside from that, I like it a lot.

Druuge remix...I loved the screams, well done. As for the choir stuff, well that needed to sound a bit deeper, heavier. Like someone else commented, the druuge are evil. A darker more industrial sound might have worked better for me, somewhere closer to "fear factory" Still pretty good all in all.

Absolutely fantastic, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a DOOM fan. Yes, there's a lot of that DOOM feeling to it, but that makes it all the better. The Druuge are disgustingly evil, and they need an evil piece like this.

Excellent work. Not only the music is nice by itself, but it definitely fits the Druuge.

Wow that is great I can feel the menotony of being a slave with that beat. Horrifing. Perfect! I also like the idea of a line that has a gruff slave-master shoting "feed the furnace"

I agree, it suits the Druuge very well. And although I'm a big Metroid fan, I really don't see any resemblance to Metroid music.

It actually suits the Druuge, Stephan so it's a logical remix. Besides, the old Druuge song imo didn't have more than a few tracks and beats and a feeling of unerviness. This highlights their evil in greed. People being slaved and used as cannon fodder in the Druuge military being thrown into the furnace is the images which are conjured up.. and it doesn't sound like Metroid to me..

Good work :P

This is a Doom and Super Metriod remix and not a Druuge remix. Please stick to the original more. This is not the one.

So, I wasn't the only one that had the DOOM feeling with this remix!!! :)

Great one.. :)

Awesome remix. The Druuge theme from SC2 was one of my favorites, and you did a great job of recapturing it. It could have been a little harder, the orginal just has that hard ominous edge too it.

All in all, I like it though.

You can't avoid a DOOM feeling with choir chords, screams, and thumping power bass drums like that! I think that's actually why I like this one so much -- the Druuge really *feel* like DOOM aliens to me. I'd expect to run across one with my BFG. But I wonder if you could work some more of the "corrupt businessmen" feel into it; maybe by replacing hi-hats with a sample of jingling coins, or something along those lines? It might be an interesting experiment.

Only thing missing are the very deep bass-groans from the background, i liked them a lot from the old Druuge theme. "Feed the Furnace!"

I love this remix. it's hard for me to say if making it anymore "darker" (metallic maybe, as one of the previous commenters wrote) would make it sound better, since "you shouldn't mess with a good thing or you'll make it worse".

..Only one thing though :P
I don't like the drums going 'tootootootootoo' like that, it sounds like one of my experiments with Scream Tracker a dozen years ago.. it wouldn't bother me *that* much, if not for when we get to the 3:50-4:30 part of the song, where it's almost non-stop for all that time.

This is a great remix. Those horrible screams in the background work perfectly -- in fact almost too well, as the song can actually be quite distubing.

Personally, I don't like this take on the Druuge theme. It's a good song all on its own, but as a remix of the Druuge theme, I just don't think it's hard-edged enough. I'm not looking for black metal here, but to me, the Druuge theme was always a very cold, dark, and bleak song to represent the emotional and social relationships that the Druuge had with each other and other races. I'm not much of a musician, but if I were, I'd re-mix the song in something along the lines of "Broken"-era NIN, or somesuch. Still, as I said, a good song all on its own - merely takes a different tack at approaching a remix.

This one is great! I really enjoy the feeling with the choir and drums. Good work Jouni! Also se guitar styled sound is really fitting to the feelins. As are the screams (i hope it's you screaming;) Try to keep your tracks as simple as this and they'll turn out good!

Simply awesome. I enjoyed the Druuge theme in the original game and this remix just makes it sound that much better. Good work :D
