This music is non, who must become juffo-wup of void

Usually I've enjoyed your remixes where you stayed close to the original music the most. This is an exception. This one is better than the original!

Yeah, like most of the posters said, this is a nice song. As for a Mycon song? I'm not really all that sold. It's just not mysterious, ambient... I dunno... I don't feel like it's a mushroom sitting in some radioactive cave.

This is good music, but the original fits better the mysterious Mycon.

I really like this song. Like... it's cool. I just don't think it fits the Mycon. It's too energetic. It actually reminds me of Homeworld a lot.

IF the female voice were to sound more like it was in pain, it would tie in well with the incident with the Syreen. other than that, i think it goes well with the slow yet busy method of the Mycon.

A great remix, one of my favorites.

This is relatively good piece, but after listening to it a couple times, the buzzing gets EXTREMELY annoying, the buzzing has to stop, STOP WITH THE BUZZING!!!

I think it's too fast and loud for a mysterious hostile ancient terraforming-tool-race. That is very Non, not Juffo-Wup :)

So what, the Mycon have taken to going out clubbing on friday nights have they? The original was mysterious, soothing and compelling. This is too 'dancy' and busy. The voices give it too much a human touch, any alienation that the original might have encouraged is lost. Oh dear they're moshing now.

I LOVED this song. My non gamer wife LOVED this song. I think the hatas who poo pooed this song are simply narrow minded. This song made my wife into a hard core Star Control fan and in the course of a day she read up on the entire story line and even finished half of it. I would **buy** music from this artist if s/he doesn't sign up with the RIAA to sell it, and I never buy music.

This is actually one of my favorite pieces. I played the original PC version, and it was pretty meh for me at the time. The remix I heard in UQM, though--wow! That really caught my ear, so to speak.
It really suits the Mycon. They aren't that simple, I mean, they're hard to understand, and in terms of SC2, no one knows who really made them (sure, could be the Precursors, but who knows?). So I think a mysterious-sounding, semi-complex theme like this works perfectly.

great job I like the melody is center stage. It just makes it cool.

I really like Aki's version. A little less abstract than the original, but good.

Well the SC2 I played didn't have voices and i haven't heard the 3DO remixes but this remix seem to have the elements of the MOD verison. Still a bit faster paced but not a bad song. I would have gone with the style of the starbase remix tho.

Anyway just so you guys know I really enjoy your hard work and look foward to every remix, keep your chin up can't please everyone.

i don't like both versions.. they both lack that mysterious flavour of the original sountrack. the original track was one of my favourites in the whole game.... (very well done) you should invite some people with ambient music skills to make a soundtrack for this game! too loud drums, too loud leads and silly melodies! i am sorry, but this my opinion. if authors want, i can make a version of how i see it. contact: loco@andrews.lv

Hmmm, not good. When you'd hear the mycon's original track the ship you'd think of would be a soft blobby thing. Here the ship that would come to mind would be a faster-than-traddash-using-afterburner melonorme-sized ship. The mycon really don't use the human voice too much, and just as the Ur-Quan used the voice to build up te atmosphere, here the voice is needless.

The song should be gentle and soft.

Definitely way too much going on in this remix for such a slow, soporific race. The original was soft and soothing, yet at the same time ominous and foreboding. This remix completely loses that.

uhm. I just can't get passed the voice. The idea of a human voice for something so alien...

FreakyM

Yeah, well i agree with Art, the old, soothing melody with the organic bloops and beeps was a lot better. This one is too fast, and the Mycon sure as hell ain´t fast- and neither is their ship.=)

Enh. You guys have seemed, when in doubt, to err on the side of dramatic and powerful in the remixes you've released, and while that's not a bad thing in general I do feel the Mycon theme here is a bit too... well... rousing. I really feel Kohr-Ah and Mycon should be quiet, subtle menaces -- Kohr-Ah the whispering goose-pimple kind, and Mycon the honeyed, lulling-you-to-sleep-then-wasting-you kind. I remember the original Mycon mix felt all friendly and pillowy and soothing and soft, making it all the more disturbing to hear and interpret what that rich, reassuring Mycon voice was saying. This strong, dramatic tune makes me start out expecting the Mycon to be scary, and so removes some of that impact. Still, a very well done tune.

Awesome. The Mycon track was always my favorite, and this is simply wonderful.

It sounds like you focused on the end portion of the original, in terms of melody and percussion -- a decision that I think really works well. The Mycon always had a very "bass" feel to me; I wonder how toning the percussion down a bit by running it through a low-pass filter might sound. But all in all, I think it sounds great.

Awsome work. Very trible. Nice percussion. Nice synths. The voice took a day of getting used to but I love it now.

Perhaps because I'm just coming off of listening to Culture 19, I'm expecting faithfulness to the original, but it sounds a little too... I dunno, busy? Don't get me wrong, it's a really neat remix, but might be a little over-worked. The original tune was simple and organic; this has a few too many bells and whistles for my taste. Perhaps put up the original remix as well?
