 | Title: Orbit V - Extraterrestrial Lifeforms Remix Pack: 3 - The Ur-Quan Hierarchy Track #: 9 Length: 3:57 Written by: Espen Gätzschmann Comments: This theme started out as an attempt to recapture the mood of the Alien soundtrack, especially the flute. It later evolved into a hybrid between Alien, Fallout, Freespace and Dune. The most soothingly ambient piece I ever wrote, it still manages to be creepy and discomforting.

I LIKE IT! I totally agree with Ur-Quan #3 as well. I fully intend to use it as some ambient back-ground music for my D&D Game at some point in the future. The players will be going up against not one or two, but a whole freakin' GUILD of Necromancers! Heh-heh-heh...

It reminds me of all those times i was low on crew, sending a unfilled planet lander down..leaving me all alone on the vindicator

Not song-specific, but album-specific: Have downloaded all 3 packs, and LOVE the 1st one so far!! (The only one I've listened to...) Can't believe I like the tunes enough on their own; so rare I'll leave music like this playing throughout my house... EXCELLENT JOB!!!!

The first 1:20 sec or so strike me as the background musuc that was playing just prior to the universe being summoned into existance from nothingness. Epochal, vast, wonderful.

Great song. Very reminiscent on the Alien film score.

This too is very suited for the game. I'm always thinking: it will be difficult to be better then the original, but to my surprise, this often does happen with the remixes.

I really liked the ever changing yet ever the same bass noises. They are very atmostspheric. The chromatic things are cool too. Good job!
