|Title: Kohr-Ah Battle|
Remix Pack: 0 - Bonus Tracks
Track #: 0
Remixed by: Espen Gätzschmann
Original written by: Dan Nicholson
Remix of: FIGHT.MOD
Comments: This is my first contribution to a bigger assortment of battle music in UQM. It's darker and calmer than other battle remixes, and was made for battles against the Kohr-Ah because of this. This remix marked my first real use of distortion in a piece of music, and it turned out really well. Inspired a lot by the music from the Temple of Elemental Evil computer game.

This is dark, evil, persistant and powerful. It also seems to amplify the feeling of dread. An awesome fit for the Kohr-Ah.

Now, what would be an epic bit of programing for 'Melee Music', would be a basic bass line, and then one or two treble lines and a simple percussion line, each one tied to a specific ship. Try to keep the feel along the lines of a given ship's Victory Ditty, so each battle will have the feel of Pkunk vs Kohr-Ah, or Druuge vs Umga, and so forth and so on.
I personally do not have the programing prowess, but does any one out there?
Is any one still paying attention to this site at all?

Probably one of the very best tracks on here

Heh-heh... I love this cut. And yes, while it would be awesome fighting with or against a Khor-Ah vessel while this was playing, what I REALLY want to do is take the track to a Rave or some similar party... Just to see how the patron on the dance floor react.

Kuun-lan parts... we want becon brain...give us data or we take data with your parts. Er, sorry about that, though this music would sound perfect for the scene in the game Homeworld:cataclysm when the beast mothership says that.

Sounds like the Beast battle music from Homeworld:Cataclysm.

Nice tune - is it possible to supplement the main melee tune with this one while battling a Kohr-Ah vessel? It would add some very nice variation.

Very good - I wouldn't want it as the main battle theme, but it isn't intended for that. In fact, I think that if you toned down the drums and took out the higher-pitched samples, it would be an excellent fit for talking with the Kohr-ah.

I really like the subdued atmosphere of the Kohr-Ah remixes. They are subtle yet powerful.
