Remixed by: Jouni Airaksinen

Nevermind, I've found it. And I'll leave it here for anyone who may be interested: star-control(dot)com/fan/music/Mark-Vera/mark-vera-arispace.ogg

I love this track so much. Is there any chance to get it in better quality?

If only the hyperspace remix was this good.

All good! Except yeah, the horns seem a bit out of place. I always felt the Quasispace music was supposed to be soothing and safe. It was the only place in the game where you could park your Precursor starship and fall asleep without feeling threatened. No random encounters, no asteroids, no planetary bodies to collide into you.

The horns sorta take that comfort blanket feeling away... and make it more like you're sailing on a grand voyage, which is more Hyperspace than Quasispace in my humble opinion.

As far as I'm concerned, Mystic Shadows is the more appropriate remix compared to Through the Angles of Space. The horns may come a bit too strong, though, but otherwise a worthy remix to the greatness that was the Quasispace theme.

I must say that this follows the original hand in hand. However, I somewhat prefer the earlier remix. The ambient sound that was played gave me more of a sense of travelling quasispace. But nothing against this one---they both are composed admirably. I've done a great many local movies in my time with friends and interested actors/tresses. These composures of music would fit some of them quite well. I was also addicted to the game. Eventually, I'd like to make a movie of it. It's a great story, and I would love to have your music in it.

Hi,

I've been a fan of Star Control for the past 15 years and finished I, II, and III various times at certain points in my life. And this simple tune is still my most favourite. I've even wrote the piano script lol. Thanks for bringing out the life in it and keep up the good work.

I'm a software engineer now. Someday I hope to make Star Control 4 or Star Control 3D live-action on the internet (like ATC online or Gunz) so that old fans can play each other over the internet, wherever they are...

Yep, excellent. One of the best remixes I've ever heard, its original, has vision and inspires.

I relistened to this very carefully to see if the horns do sound strident but I don't think they really do. Maybe if they were used throughout the entire song. What I like about this arrangement is that the horns convey a sense of majesty and strength, but just when they have said what they have to say, they give way to the softer more melodic flute. It's like a symbiosis of emotion, conveying both strength and power and haunting contenplation and peace. To they compliment each other quite nicely without overdoing either.

I like the bells, but the synth/horn sound which frequently gets the main tune sounds a little strident, even if it is quiet.
I vastly prefer the use of the flute.

This sounds really great. It's almost symphonic. Probably one of the best 3 songs you've done.
